About us
MassAEYC is an affiliate of the National Association of the Education for Young Children (NAEYC). NAEYC is the nation's largest and most influential organization of early childhood educators and others dedicated to improving the quality of programs for children from birth through age eight. The organization exists for the purpose of leading and consolidating the efforts of individuals and groups working to achieve healthy development and constructive education for all young children. Founded in 1926, NAEYC has over 110,000 members nationwide.

The MassAEYC Board is comprised of its officers, a representative from each one of its local affiliate chapters, and six at-large members elected by the MassAEYC membership. The Board meets on at least a quarterly basis to share information, make policy decisions, and plan events.

MassAEYC has over 2100 members who receive additional benefits and services from seven local affiliate chapters across the Commonwealth.
